Pitch jumping usually occurs when the input audio is out of range of the target voice. When your audio goes too high or too low for the model, it creates pitch jumping or whispering, so try to use input audio that is within range of the model you’re using.
This can also happen with input audio that has vocal fry, a type of vocal sound that doesn’t have a tone to it. Learn more about vocal fry here and try to avoid input audio with no tone like this.
Pitch jumping can also happen if there are harmonies or stacked voices in your input audio. Ensure that your input audio is clean, dry, and free of any background noise. Check out our voice conversion article here for more information.
If your input audio is not out of range, doesn’t have vocal fry, and doesn’t have harmonies, you should have fixed the pitch jumping issue.
